Exception Request Process

1. Contact your LOB First-Level Executive to request an exception for the blocked site via email
2. After receiving approval from your Executive, contact the FAA IT Helpdesk to create a Remedy Incident

3. Via Email: Provide copy of the Executive approval, as well as a screenshot of the block page or a hyperlink, to helpdesk@faa.gov
4. The Helpdesk will assign the incident to a Blue Coat administrator to be reviewed and implemented

Note: Exception requests without First-Level Executive approvals or URL information will not be accepted.

FAA Order 1370.121, Internet Use Policy, sets FAA policy on the appropriate use of FAA Internet resources. This Order prohibits using FAA Internet resources for any purpose which violates the law or FAA rules, regulations and policies. To prevent unauthorized use of FAA Internet resources, websites which fall into certain categories not considered necessary for conducting agency business are blocked.
